I have little or no respect for those who choose to do hard
core cosplay. (If you don't know what cosplay is, it's basically... better yet
an example is, dressing up like an anime character from a tv show.) Now then,
surfing across Google images I came upon messed up cosplayer who REALLY do not
fit in the genre of a good cosplayer. Picture this if you will, a really fat Caucasian
girl, chunky legs, acne and glasses, dressed up as Yuna, Final Fantasy X-2
style. Now then, I will never surf Google Images with the word
"Yuna" ever again. I had nightmares, so many
chunks. A month later, when I'm in my Naruto fan craze, I search up Maito Gai,
when I come across a picture of a fat African American man doing the Maito Gai
pose; as if I had enough memories to repress, I thought of the Yuna cosplayer.
And these are just some examples of the horrors I've seen. Some people on the
other hand... well the same hand, take cosplay to the extreme. My friend for
instance, bought a Battle Royale collar; the ones that would
kill the students if they took it off. He bought a really expensive replica of
it, put it on and couldn't take it off. My god! He had to break it to take it
off and in the end, cried himself to sleep because of the waste. He intention
was to wear it everyday to show off back when Battle Royale, the movie came
out. Poor him, money well wasted. And there's too much to say over what I have
to make fun of in cosplay. Basically, if you know what's good you, do it in
moderation or don't do it at all.
